Basic considerations to be happy when you are in college

-Socializing and human interaction, although is often over-looked, is a very necessary part of who we are and what we do. It is important for us to understand that we can do a lot better when invest on human interaction and socializing. It is beneficial in many ways, especially for our mental and social well being

-To be happy, you need periodical changes as human beings do not take monotony well. Monotony, in fact, can be dangerous to your mental well being. Hence, you need to find getaways whenever possible. You should try to engage the body, the mind and the spirit in out-door activities that the college deems possible (may be camping, hiking, trekking, sports, acting, etc). outdoor activities, if not daily then at least occasionally or weekly can be very helpful in breaking the chains of monotony. Remember that monotony yields boredom and that yields inconsistency, dullness and inactivity. In your student life, it becomes very important that you remain active, both mentally and physically and this activeness is directly proportional to how you perform in the various aspects of your college life, including academia.

-choosing a homely environment is very important. College is that phase of life when one moves out of the comforts of the house. It is a real and challenging phase of life, at least in the initial days. It is in these days that one must find ways to cope and settle with the changing environment.
